There are multiple entries about John Della-Bosca on this page, yet he continues to wield power in the NSW government. This most recent post gives yet another insight into the moral and ethical values of those elected to manage the State’s affairs on our behalf.
The ex-Minister for Education had been shuffled to the Health portfolio after losing his license for multiple infringements, unleashing a torrent of profanities at questioning journalists, then being involved in the Iguanas fiasco with his politician wife Belinda Neal.
He is now reported by the Daily Telegraph to have been carrying on an extra-marital affair that commenced with a drunken night out (this is the man who doesn’t drink?) and included a consumation on the couch in his ministerial office.
And these are the people who consider themselves to be “leaders”. They are running the show on our behalf.
What a circus. Roll on the next election.

Oink oink oink….
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the NSW State Government has 369 committees or boards costing $26 million a year in sitting fees alone.
Ian Macdonald’s Department of Primary Industries has the most number of committees, 58 [can you believe that? - 58!!], followed by health (56) and the Department of Environment and Climate Change (47).

More of the same…..
The NSW Minister for Primary Industries, Ian Macdonald, who has been dubbed Sir Lunchalot over the wine council controversy, has been accused of doing more favours for mates after he approved a coalmining exploration licence for a mine run by a former union boss, John Maitland.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the NSW Minister for Primary Industries, Ian Macdonald, previously dubbed Sir Lunchalot by the Opposition, has spent nearly $150,000 on lunches, dinners and accommodation for a wine advisory group he created, and $15,000 on a charter flight.
How many more snouts can fit in that trough?

The Daily Telegraph reports that children are set to lose their playgrounds to developers, with almost 700 state schools classified as “too big” by the Government’s bean counters.
The hit list of schools deemed greater than “standard size” in an internal Department of Education strategy document can be revealed for the first time.
Under pressure to raise $200 million in just 12 months from the fire sale of school land, the department wants to audit the schools on the hit list to determine if portions of the schools can be sold.
How much longer to do we have to wait for the next election???

Another snout wallowing in our trough…
The SMH reports that details have emerged of Joe Tripodi’s lavish accommodation enjoyed on his $300,000 world tour to peddle the state’s electricity assets – but are any overseas buyers willing to buy the assets?
This guy is an elected member of the NSW government.

After just 14 years in Parliament, Reba Maher has “retired”, at 40 years of age, with state-sponsored superannuation of over $120,000 pa, The Australian reports.
Another snout in the trough.
How do these people continue to get away with this?

This is the Minister for Education….
The Daily Telegraph reports that when asked whether he had used the cover of the Federal Budget to come clean about his driving record, Mr Della Bosca screamed: “Get a real job, you f. . . . .g c. . . .” to the questioning journalists.
An elected public official. A Minister of the Crown. The Minister for Education!
What a complete and utter disgrace.

Can you believe this?
The Daily Telegraph reports that NSW Education Minister John Della Bosca will be stripped of his driving licence for speeding in his ministerial car a seventh time.
Mr Della Bosca had been driving on a probationary licence since the start of the year after accumulating demerit points for six speeding offenses.
This is the Minister for Education! And he serves in a role with the Motor Accidents Authority.
Great role model.
Who voted for these people?

Can you believe this?
The NSW government has appointed Michael Coutts-Trotter to the position of NSW Department of Education’s Director General.
Coutts-Trotter has a history as a heroin addict and criminal, who spent almost three years in jail on a drug charge.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Coutts-Trotter has asked for a second chance.
Coutts-Trotter is married to Federal Minister Tanya Pliberseck, and is a political “mate” of John Della Bosca.
He has no educational qualifications, and will be prohibited from enetering schools, due to his criminal past.
And he is running the show.
What a joke.
